Application and Enrollment Process
Thank you for your interest in Community Leadership Academy. If you choose to apply, please be prepared to provide several required documents throughout the application and enrollment phases. Having these materials ready in advance will help ensure a smooth and efficient process from start to finish.
-Report cards for the last 2 years
-Standardized test scores for the last 2 years
-Contact information for a pastoral reference
-Any existing IEP, 504 plans, or other accommodation plans currently in place, along with any diagnostic reports
-Recent School Entry Health Exam (physical)
-Birth Certificate
-Certified 680 form
Application Process
1 Fill out an inquiry form and schedule an information meeting
Information Meetings can be scheduled throughout the school year. This meeting is the mandatory first step in the application process. You can schedule your information meeting on our inquiry form linked below.
2 Complete the Application
After attending an informatin meeting, you will receive an email from Veracross prompting you to create your account. Once your account is set up, you can begin and complete our online application. Please note that the application fee is $125 per student and is non-refundable.
3 Schedule Academic Testing for Your Child
Beginning with VPK/K4, all students applying to CLA participate in academic testing. Once we have received your completed application and fees, we will contact you to schedule your child’s testing appointment.
4 Complete the Parent Interview
A representative from the school office will contact you to set up a time and place for your parent interview. We ask that both parents or guardians attend this meeting.
5 Decision
You will receive an email notification once your admissions decision has been posted in Veracross. Please log in to your account to view your decision letter. If accepted, you will be asked to either accept or decline your offer. Accepted families must complete the enrollment process within 10 days or the offer will expire.
Enrollment Process
Once your child is accepted, you will have 10 business days to complete the enrollment process or the offer will expire and the seat may be offered to another applicant.
1. Agree to the School Policies for Enrollment
In this section you acknowledge that you have read all relevant handbooks and will abide by the policies and procedures of Community Leadership Academy.
2. Sign your Enrollment Contract
Once all of the above steps have been completed, the Enrollment Contract for each child who will be attending CLA will become “open.” Please read through the entire Enrollment Agreement, ensure all information is accurate, and commit to attending Community Leadership Academy by signing the agreement.
3. Register for VCPay
You will be required to register for a VCPay account where you will make all tuition payments while at Community Leadership Academy.
4. Pay your Enrollment Deposit
To secure enrollment for the upcoming school year, you must pay your reservation deposit by clicking on the “Pay Enrollment Fees” button. Your child’s seat at CLA will not be secure until all of these steps are completed.
