Background Checks

We require all parents who will be volunteering on campus, eating in the lunchroom, visiting a classroom or participating in field trips to have a background check done. Existing background/fingerprinting results are non-transferrable from other entities and cannot be used at CLA. Parents are responsible to pay the fee for this service and it does require an appointment.

Adult volunteers need to get fingerprints electronically scanned every five years. You will be provided with the school’s VECHS number and background check information upon acceptance. In addition to the background check, please sign and return the VECHS waiver to CLA.
